About Gateway
Gateway Living is a unique campus-style setting where one can feel at home while receiving 24-hour personal care and services. Our campus has 11 homes; six homes for our Memory Care, four homes for our Mental Health residents, and one home is where our Residential Care residents reside.
Position Summary
The primary purpose of the Activities Director is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Activities Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and our established policies and procedures. The Activities Director is responsible for assuring that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident in accordance with the resident's comprehensive assessment. The Activities Director must also be able to demonstrate innovation in creating new activities for different levels of ability of the residents served.
Education and Experience Preferred
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience working in a residential care facility
- 2 years of experience working with persons diagnosed with mental health conditions
- Activity experience preferred but not required, Activity Director Certification a plus
- One year of Supervisory experience
- Experience and knowledge of current federal and state healthcare/assisted living/residential care facility rules and practices
Must:
- have Oregon Drivers License and drive or be willing to learn to drive the company bus, van or other vehicles
- oversee day-to-day Activity operational function; including but not limited to scheduling staff, reviewing timecards, disciplinary correction, etc
- successfully pass a drug screen and criminal history background check
- show proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19
